Aiming to empower approximately 110 women from Monufia Governorate, the initiative focuses on imparting four key skills: tailoring, recycling, embroidery, and tapestry. The goal is to transform these skills into a consistent income stream for these women and their families, fostering self-reliance and economic stability.

As part of Emirates NBD Egypt's corporate social responsibility efforts, the bank set to empower women in the Monufia Governorate with a scheduled training program starting in January 2024.

Dr. Amgad Doma, Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Emirates NBD Egypt stated, " At the core of our commitment to social responsibility, this collaboration focuses on enhancing the lives of women and economically empowering them through the creation of employment opportunities. It represents a pivotal step towards fostering economic growth and seamlessly aligns with Egypt's vision 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals."

Hany Abdel-Fattah, Executive Director of Sonaa El Kheir Foundation, emphasized that “Partnering with Emirates NBD Egypt is a crucial step in our strategic commitment to empower women. Our focus on delivering essential training and creating job opportunities is aimed at strengthening the economic position of women, particularly within the context of the 'Haya Karima' national initiative. We anticipate that our initiatives, especially in the governorates, will contribute significantly to societal well-being.”

Emirates NBD Egypt's commitment to social responsibility shines through this initiative. With a focus on empowering women, the bank seeks to improve their lives and generate employment opportunities, ultimately contributing to economic growth. This initiative goes beyond being a mere reflection of the bank's social awareness; it is a concrete endeavor to uplift society.
